Google Places Now Displaying on Google+
Today Google introduced Google+ Local, this new feature is a combination of Google+ and Google Places. Looking at the initial layout, the new Google+ feature looks like it is pulling all of the information, pictures and reviews from the Google Places listing and integrating them into Google+ to display in the new “Local” section on Google+.
Google says the new feature is a means to offer users a simple way to share and discover local hotspots for food, shopping, entertainment and everything in between. Google+ Local also features business summaries and scores from Zagat and users will also be able see if anyone from their personal circles have been and commented to a given location.

More information about the new integration can be found on Google’s Blog. This is just another step forward for Google in consolidating Google+, Maps and Places into one streamlined layout. Currently Google+ business pages and Google+ Local pages are separate but Google employees have stated they are working to consolidate the separate pages so a business can have (and manage) one seamless page across Google’s many features. With the amount of effort that has gone into the development and the praise the new look has already received. We know the feature is here to stay, Google mentioned this is just the initial roll out and many more updates are going to be coming in the next few months.
